The word "fray" shows the condition of the thing, the same word in Lithuania can describe the people who have eaten too much rabbits.

 "Slap in the face" - the same phrase in Lithuania can mean a thing on the ear. Hands represent the action of slaping. Three different figures on the ears represent people.

THE BLACK EYE

The phrase 'black eye'  has more than one meaning,  the same phrase could mean "outlook" , " range of vision" and the black eye. The black eye also mean a  bilberry. Thats why you see a lot of berries that cover the black eye.
